From our surf truck on the Rainbow Bay beachfront you’re a short walk from Snapper Rocks, Greenmount, Kirra and the full stretch of the Superbank — plus the protected corners of Rainbow Bay and Coolangatta Beach that are perfect for learning. Whatever your ability and whatever the swell is doing, we’ll match you to the right board.
Our surf truck is parked right on the Rainbow Bay beachfront, seconds from the water! Hire by the session, the day or the week, with better rates for longer hires. Boards go quickly in peak season and school holidays, so it’s best to book ahead — call or text us on 0417 191 629 to reserve your board.
You can hire surfboards directly from our surf truck at Rainbow Bay, Coolangatta, opposite Rainbow Place Holiday Apartments near the children’s playground on Marine Parade.
Surfboard hire starts from $35, depending on the board and length of hire.
Yes. Our Rainbow Bay pickup location is approx. 150 m from Snapper Rocks and 100 m from Greenmount and the Superbank.
Yes. We have softboards and easy-paddling boards suitable for groms and beginners, as well as mid-lengths, longboards and performance boards for experienced surfers.
Yes, you can hire our boards for as long as you need. Hire periods and rates vary by board, so check the individual board for more details or contact us and we’ll help organise the right hire period for you.
Generally, no. However, if you have a particular board or board type in mind, we recommend contacting us in advance to make sure it’s available when you arrive.
All our hire surfboards come ready to surf. We wax the surfboards and include fins and leg ropes.
